A first half strike from Rory Fallon was enough to give Plymouth Argyle victory in their six-pointer with fellow relegation candidates Swindon Town.
The Kiwi striker hit the target in the 10th minute and his fellow forward Joe Mason struck the woodwork twice as the Pilgrims moved off the foot of the League One table for the first time since they were docked ten points for going into Admininstration.
Manager Peter Reid dedicated the win to the 16 staff who lost their jobs at the club following the announcement that the Pilgrims would be going into Administration.
He said: "It's been really difficult.
"Yesterday was a horrible day in terms of good people losing their jobs, and that affected me, so it must have affected the players, and the victory is for everyone who has gone.
"It's dedicated to them.-especially Sue who was my PA."
