For over a decade, the paths of Torquay United and Peter Taylor have crossed on a number of occasions.
Tomorrow's clash with Bradford City will be the ninth time that the Gulls have faced the former England Caretaker manager, who first handed David Beckham the England captaincy in 2000, since the 1999-00 season when Torquay faced Gillingham, who were then managed by Taylor, in the Auto Windscreens Shield.
The Gulls came out on top, winning 3-0 with a brace from Michael Griffiths and a further goal from Kevin Hill.
Torquay then faced Hull City six times during Taylor's reign in charge of the Tigers and on one further occasion when Taylor was in charge of Stevenage.
