Former Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson is being lined up for a return to Huish Park, six years after he left the Glovers to manage Bristol City.
Johnson, who has been out of work since November following his departure from Northampton Town, has been linked with the managerial vacancy at Bristol Rovers in the wake of the recent sacking of Paul Buckle.
It is not clear what role Johnson, who guided the Glovers into the Football League in 2003 before leading them to League One two years, will be taking on.
An official announcement will be made at a press conference at Huish Park on Monday afternoon, which is expected to confirm Johnson's return and clarify what his role at the club will be.
