Torquay United could be set to lose the services of Danny Stevens for the remainder of the 2011-12 campaign after he sustained an ankle injury against Crawley Town.
Stevens, who has scored seven goals for the Gulls this season, was substituted in the 23rd minute of Torquay's 1-0 win at Crawley yesterday. He was sent straight to hospital after he was stretched off.
The club are awaiting the results of an x-ray and scan on his injured ankle, which will be confirmed later this week.
Danny's unfortunate injury overshadowed what was a successful weekend for the Gulls as they avenged their five previous defeats at the hands of the Red Devils by winning 1-0 courtesy of a late Eunan O'Kane strike.
