Following the completion of the Sale and Purchase Agreement of the club, which is still awaiting verification from the Football League, Plymouth Argyle manager Peter Reid is looking to add to his threadbare squad.
Subject to the ownership deal going through, the Pilgrims are set to complete the signings of Robbie Williams, Durrell Berry and Liam Dickinson.
Another target on Reid's horizon was the former Liverpool, Leeds United and England striker Robbie Fowler, who has instead opted for a move to Thailand to sign for Muang Thong United.
Had he had joined Argyle, Fowler would have combined playing for the Pilgrims with being part of Reid's coaching team.
One player who could be on his way out of Home Park is the Pilgrims' Republic of Ireland Under-21 striker Joe Mason, who is set to complete a move to Championship side Cardiff City in a deal worth £250,000.
The Plymouth-born starlet was subject of a bid from Swindon Town last January, but he turned down a move to the County Ground and opted to remain at Home Park to help aid the Pilgrims' cause.
However, the current bid from recently appointed Cardiff boss Malky McKay is likely to suit all parties this time.
Nevertheless, the Bluebirds have recently announced the signing of Wales striker Rob Earnshaw and are being strongly linked with a potential move for Craig Bellamy, so the return of Mason to Home Park in a loan deal might not be out of the question just yet.
