TALKING YEOVIL #9

Yeovil Town stepped up their bid for League One survival on Saturday with a 2-0 home win over Brentford, which lifts them within three points of safety.

Goals from skipper Paul Huntington and Andrew Williams secured their points for the Glovers and after the match manager Terry Skiverton revealed that a heart-to-heart with his squad helped to bring them closer together.

"I showed them a picture of a boat leaving the harbour and asked them if they wanted to be in it or left behind." said Skiverton.

"They've stayed with us and been rewarded for showing the bravery and desire that I've been demanding."

The win leaves the Glovers, now 21st in the League One table, just three points behind Tranmere Rovers in 20th position and a similar performance when they travel to Swindon Town on Saturday could provide a further boost to Yeovil in their quest to survive another season in the third tier of English football.
