The Bulls, who fielded Rob Purdie who also wasn't correctly registered, were deducted the three points that they won on the night.
Both clubs also received a £10,000 fine, of which 25% must be paid within seven days. They also 28 days to decide whether to lodge an appeal against the ruling.
