Plymouth Argyle made it to the Semi-Finals of the Devon St Lukes Bowl after beating Elburton Villa, but Torquay United bowed out of the competition at the hands of Buckland Athletic.
A Luke Daley brace and an Isaac Vassell helped the Pilgrims to see off their Peninsula League opponents, who replied with efforts from Justin Crowley and Tony Biddle.
However, Torquay United failed to get the better of local neighbours Buckland Athletic as they were beaten 3-0 at Homers Heath. Gavin Hammon opened the scoring for Bucks before Player-Boss Anthony Lynch and former Gulls' youngster Dean Stevens added a third. Torquay were also reduced to ten men after Lathaniel Rowe-Turner was dismissed on 58 minutes.
