ARGYLE CUP DREAM SHATTERED BY GLASSBOYS

Plymouth Argyle's involvement in this year's FA Cup came to an end as they lost their replay against Southern Premier side Stourbridge.

Goals from Paul McCone and Sean Evans secured the Glassboys' place in the second round of the Cup, for the first time in their history, at the expense of an Argyle side that were reduced to ten men following the first half dismissal of right back Paul Bignot.

This defeat comes as a major blow for the Pilgrims who are five points of safety at the bottom of League Two.

One ray of light for Argyle is the proposed signing of experienced central defender Darren Purse which is set to completed in the next few days.
