GULLS' SQUAD TAKES SHAPE

After completing the triple swoop of Joe Oastler, Daniel Leadbitter and Chris McPhee, Torquay United manager Martin Ling has now made further acquisitions that will give the Gulls' squad a more complete look.

Austrian Under-21 keeper Bobby Olejnik has arrived from SPL side Falkirk as a replacement for Scott Bevan and, as widely predicted, central defender Brian Saah has joined from Cambridge United.

Olejnik, 24,  first came to England as a 16 year-old to sign for Aston Villa and has spent the last four seasons in Scotland with Falkirk, where he experienced playing against the likes of Rangers and Celtic in front of crowds in the region of 50,000.

Saah has previously served under Ling at Leyton Orient and Cambridge and was called up for the England 'C' side whilst with the U's.

In other news, Danny Stevens has signed a new two-year deal, but there will be no return for former Gulls' favourite Alex Russell who looks set to return to Bath City and combine a playing role at Twerton Park with a coaching position at Bristol City's youth set-up.

One player who could be heading out of Plainmoor in the near future is Chris Zebroski who had handed in a transfer request.
