SEAN BECOMES A TRACTOR BOY

Following his appointment as Roy Keane’s successor at Ipswich Town, Paul Jewell has made former Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City striker Sean McCarthy one of his first signings.

Sean, who enjoyed two spells at Home Park and one at St James Park during his career, has become part of the backroom staff at Portman Road.

He was a team-mate of Jewell’s at Bradford City during the early 1990’s where the duo formed a prolific strike partnership.

His new role marks a return to the game for Sean after he left his previous position as manager of Truro City in the Southern Premier Division midway through last season.
